Al-Bawareh

(Al-Bawareh) is a local term known as the activity of Northwesterly wind ,it’s impact between the end of May to mid of July, reaching its maximum peak in the second half of June. During this period each wave extends from 3 – 10 days, were wind may vary between fresh – strong in speed, which might lead to rise in sea height and increase in temperature after mid-forties , low visibility is expected to reach as low as 1 km or less in open places during day time ,some improvement may occur at night .

Signed an agreement with Qatar Foundation

In the framework of support and the application of the national development strategy of the State of Qatar in the light of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the order of cooperation with scientific and research institutions has been signed at the Meteorological Department, a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Foundation for Education and Community Development - Institute of Qatar for Research on Environment, Energy and represented by Dr / Rabeea Amahtar Executive Director of the Institute and the General Authority for civil Aviation - meteorological Administration, represented by Mr. / Ahmed Abdallah Mohamed Director of the Department of Meteorology.
